(i.)   Appeal against examination  results should be done within 30 days from the date of publication of results as uploaded on Students’ Portal;

(ii.)  All applications for re- marking should be addressed to the Registrar through the Study Centre Directors and copies forwarded to the Dean of the School concerned and the Chairman, University Examinations Committee

(iii.)  Applicants must submit the necessary application form (Annexure A) at the relevant Study Centre. Students must ensure that the course(s) codes(s) title(s) are correct when completing the form;

(iv.)  A non- refundable fee of N20,000 is charged per course for the re- marking of scripts. The said amount should be paid to a bank account designated for the purpose;

Students should note that evidence of payment of the fees must be attached to a completed application form. Also payments without application forms would not be processed.

(v.)  A receipt must be issued as proof of payment for the service;

(vi.) Study Centre Directors should, in all cases, ensure and supervise that payment for applications are received, receipts are issued and that all the applications are recorded;

(vii.) Study Centre Directors are required to forward all applications to the Registrar, Dean of the affected School and Chairman, University Examinations Committee either in hard or soft copy within three days of receipt of the application form to registrar@noun.edu.ng/ academicoffice@noun.edu.ng  or

(viii.)  The Registrar forwards the application form to the University Examinations Committee within two weeks of reception. The School sets up a 3 Man Committee to re-mark the Script.The 3 Man Committee will be made up of the Head of Unit and two other experts other than those that marked the Script initially.Re- marking shall be completed within two weeks and returned to the University Examinations Committee by the School. The new score awarded shall be approved by the Dean of the School on behalf of the School’s Academic Board which brings it to the notice of the University Examinations Committee.

 

(ix.)  If a Student decides to withdraw his/her appeal before it is considered by the Committee, a notice of withdrawal shall be done in writing to make it valid.

(x.)  In the event of an upward review of the score, the University may place appropriate sanctions on the marker.

(xi.)  At the end of the exercise, the Student completes and signs an acknowledgement form (Annexure B)

(xii.) The University Examination Committee shall communicate its decisions to the Senate within a period of 14 days for ratification.
